Start with the exact input
In NBA 2K27, a button press, a manually timed right-stick motion and a saved sequence can all lead to a shot. They are different controls. Start by identifying the input you want to use, then match the game and ERA settings to that path.
What to record before changing settings
| Check | Write down | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Shooting input | Write down whether you use the physical shot button, a held-and-released input, or an assigned stick-click. | A different trigger can select a different ERA timing field. |
| Shot conditions | Keep the same player, jumper, stance, court and shot type for a comparison. | A standing attempt and a moving attempt do not isolate the same action. |
| Game feedback | Record Timing and Tempo as separate observations when they are shown. | Early/late release feedback and fast/slow transition feedback answer different questions. |
A useful first comparison
- Confirm that the controller works normally in the game before selecting a script slot. A responding Zen menu does not prove that the selected gameplay input reaches NBA 2K27.
- Choose one path: dedicated Button Shooting, manual Tempo Lock or OneTap. Read the relevant ERA reference before switching several modes at once.
- Take a small group of comparable shots, write down the active setting and record what the game reports. Treat a made shot as one observation, not a calibrated preset.
When to repeat the check
After changing a jumper or installing an NBA update, keep a record of the previous setup and repeat the same short comparison. Confirm the installed ERA version and selected slot before assuming the timing number is the problem.
Check the current game and platform rules for your setup. A controller connection and permission to use additional input hardware are separate questions.
Documentation and next steps
Use NBA 2K27 official information for the current game documentation and the Cronus hardware guide for the device connection. This article does not claim a current GamePack exists for every platform or game edition.
Ozark ERA is an NBA 2K27 product. The other game articles are general controller references; they do not extend ERA support to those games.
